The fury of Katrina is 5 years past, but neighborhoods of New Orleans still need all the help they can get. Marriott has a way for visitors to lend a hand between servings of jazz and jambalaya. From August 3rd through the end of the year, guests who book the “Spirit To Serve New Orleans” voluntourism package can partner with New Orleans Area Habitat for Humanity or Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans to help rebuild homes hardest hit by Hurricane Katrina and provide food to families impacted by the Gulf oil spill.
