There are 4.6+ million hotel rooms in the U.S. alone, where millions of soap bars are unwrapped and used daily. A Dallas-based nonprofit called Soap Hope wants to use this soap to improve local communities and fight poverty.

Soap Hope logoIt buys organic and natural soaps from eco-friendly producers, sells it to hotels, then donates 100%  of profits as microloans to small business owners in developing countries. But that’s not all.

Ever wonder what happens to all those soap bars used just once or twice? Often, it’s all just tossed—tons each day. Hotel Soap partners with Clean The World to recycle this leftover soap, sending it to needy areas of the world to help fight disease and reduce deaths caused by a lack of good hygiene.
